  As of my last update in January 2022, WhatsApp does not have a feature called "channels." The platform primarily focuses on individual and group messaging. However, there are a few features that can be used in a manner similar to channels: Groups: WhatsApp allows you to create groups with up to 256 participants. This can be used to disseminate information to a larger audience, but every member can respond, making it more of a group chat than a broadcast channel. Broadcast Lists: This feature lets you send messages to many people simultaneously without creating a group. When you send a message to a Broadcast List, it will send to all recipients in the list who have your number saved in their phone's address book. Recipients will receive the message as a normal message. When they reply, it will appear as a normal one-on-one chat on your chats screen.
